October 27, 1998: A lead promo for AOL Instant Messenter (AIM) 2.0. The graphic is a (clearly) faked up IM conversation. It would have been a great candidate for an animated gif treatment, but I don't remember if we had the capability to do that back in 1998, especially given file-size sensitivities for our 56k and 28.8 modem users:
