20 Years Ago on May 4, 1999 -- Mother's Day Gifts; Midwest Tornadoes Kill Dozens

May 4, 1999: What started out with routine promos for Mother's Day, PC buying, and online CD shopping quickly turned into multiple updates for a series of tornadoes in Oklahoma that killed 36 people:
We got the news from the previous day, and kept the tornadoes in the lead for the rest of the day:
